M.A.C - Rose Romance

“Come into my garden, I would like my roses to see you!” poet Sir Richard Brinsley Sheridan once said, and what lady could resist such flattery?”
I love that!
Rose Romance is a walk in the garden of pink and dusky rose hues - the colours, the suggestions, the concept of flowers thrown onstage at the Met, roses clench between teeth in a Buenos Aires tango salon - M.A.C sure knows how to paint a pretty picture. All perfect thoughts for a summer colour collection.
Here are some highlights that will fuel the same imagination:

Just a Pinch Gel Blush Sheer Red Pink Tint: A sheer gel cheek blush in a pot that delivers a rosy glow of coverage for a healthy complexion. (I'm feeling rather like Jane Austen's Elizabeth)

Circa Plum Pigment: Frosty dirty mid-tone lavender eye pigment. I could love this a lot. A gorgeous cool-tone plum with a nice frost.

Dejarose
“A striking bouquet of lush bulgarian, turkish and tea red roses is ruffled with peony and teased with a hint of crimson red raspberry and the gentle texture of pink pepper. The interplay of light and dark woods, weathered teak contrasting with patchouli, adds to the intensity, while hypnotic incense vapours and amber crystals lend a sense of intrigue and allure to this sensous creation.”
A friend of mine once said that the scents he found sexy tended towards “Old-lady perfumes”. I doubt he meant it in the way an octogenarian smelled (though Grandmas do tend to smell comforting and of old sunshine) but rather, in the way a delicate, flowery bouquet smells of. From the scent notes, this is how I imagine Dejarose would smell. Retro-scent.
