Linda Farrow Vs Dr Martens

Linda Farrow X Dries Van Noten (top) X *Prototype by Yohji Yamamoto (bottom) / Raf Simons X Dr Martens
We love the idea of collabs - the creative synergy behind the partnership, the unlikely romance that bloom betwixt two seemingly impossibles (such romantics we are), and finally, theĀ resulting by-product: a love-child that is loved or… well, ignored.
It gets even more exciting when the collaborators are design royals in a relationship with cult fashion totems. Makes it all the more special.
Raf Simons X Dr. Martens

Raf Simons X Dr Martens 3-eye
Dr Martens are just cool. No two ways about it, they’re simply as dope now as they were before… even when their natural sartorial pairings were sad floral dresses and dirty hair. With a Raf Simons stamp branded on the side of the 3-eye model, these ones have all the markings of Raf Simons’ aesthetic and design ethos - the semi-chromo finish, the shape of the toe… Red welt stitches just look so much better than yellow.

Raf Simons X Dr Martens Buckle Sandal
The Mandals. Tricky. These ones swing both ways on the style pendulum according to FashEds and Stylists. You either can or you can’t. Perhaps in the same way how the Sartorialist picks his subjects, they simply could.
Available from mid-May at Front Row, 5 Ann Siang Road.
Linda Farrow X Designers of Designers
The list of collaboration designers reads like the ‘Who’s Who’ of design. Not that Linda Farrow sunglasses need additional clout. The UK vintage sunglassesĀ brand is already is steeped in equal parts of design heritage and fashion cred, certainly holding its own well enough. But.. ooOOoo.. further collaborations with Dries Van Noten, Yohji Yamamoto, Raf Simons and Bernhard Willhelm? The clever things!
Available from 6th - 9th May at Front Row, 5 Ann Siang Road.
