Utter…ly

After graduating from LaSalle College of the Arts, designer Josephine Xie started on her label whilst working as a designer for several international licensing brands. Loosely referencing the feminine ideal that the La Belle Epoque’s Gibson Girl represented, Utt’er’s S/S2011 collection is a re-interpretation of the icon at ease: taking power-dressing down a notch with a softer approach to silhouettes; abandoning hard lines for soft, feminine pieces with sporty accents on cycle-friendly pieces. Natural fabrics such as cotton, voiles and satin were seen in palettes of soft peach, green and purple.

Lulu & Co

The Lulu & Co brand is a series of limited edition ‘edits’ and personal collaborations with the design talent showcased at Fashion East, a fashion philanthropic project founded by London’s Lulu Kennedy. For its inaugural project, Lulu & Co has produced an exclusive capsule of ten designers from the Fashion East collective. This treasure trove of dresses celebrates a decade of London’s most outstanding talent. Some garments were shown on the runway but have never been produced until now. Others have been re-issued from the archive in new fabrics and colours.

Previously only available in Harvey Nichols in the UK, five of these designs will now be available at Front Row: Marios Schwab, Richard Nicoll, Jonathan Saunders, House of Jazz, Meadham Kirchoff.

FRONT ROW launches the Zazie: an urban briefcase that too acts as a preppy handbag. A grand solution when you just want to limit yourself to the small stuff. Made of Japanese wax coated canvas, produced from Egyptian cotton and Italian top-quality vegetable-tanned leather.

Front Row introduces Hoi Ming - a witty, luxury brand of leather accessories from Hong Kong. As one spectator best puts it: “the whole effect is primitive and almost cult-like.” Entirely hand-crafted in leather, Hoi Ming creates bags and brooches with reason(s) and surprises. Find this in bags inspired by cloud shapes and leather bats that can be worn as a bow tie or necklace, and corsage brooches made out of cork and pony hair.
